|
|
If an individual submit a case or complain to Election Commission and if he/she is dissatisfied with the verdict made by Elections Commission he/she can appeal that case to High Court of Maldives. Following describes the procedure.

CRITERIA/PRE-REQUISITES |
|
|
- In cases of Electoral Complaints the case should be filed in the High Court not more than 14 days from the day the official result of such election is pronounced,
|
|
 
|
PROCEDURE |
|
|
- Submit the filled application forms with the necessary documents and forms (listed in “Documents & Forms required”) to the High Court Counter.
- Make the changes in the application form if the Court asks to do so.
- Make the registration payment and obtain the payment reciept.
- Appear the court on time mentioned in the Court Order and submit the Court order to the counter in order to bring the Court's attention of your appearance.

- Filled " Inthihaabee Shakuvaa Hushahalaa Form" (246 KB,
) (minimum 3 set)
- ID card copy if the case is filed by an individual person, copy of Certificate of Registration if the case is filed by a company or registered body.
- The case Report of the Lower Court or Tribunal (in Appeal Cases).
- Other than original applicatin from, a copy per number of respondent in the case.

- Rf 25/- for registration of the appeal at the High Court.

INFORMATION |

|
- If any party in a case wants to appoint a lawyer to represent on his behalf, he can file ‘ Request form to appoint a Lawyer’ in the High Court.
