This service allows Foreign and Maldivian nurses to get registered to practice nursing under the regulation of the Maldives Nursing Council in the Ministry of Health and Family. The following describes the procedure.

• Must have an Advance Certificate, Diploma or a Degree level Certificate from the required field.

1. Submit the filled application form with the necessary documents (listed in “Documents and Forms required”) to the counter of Maldives Nursing Council of the Ministry of Health and Family.
2. If the applicant meets all the criteria, the permission to work in Maldives will be granted within 6 (six) days.
3. If the applicant cannot come in person to collect the Registration Certificate, an alternative person’s name must be given to the Ministry in written form.
4. Once the Registration Certificate is ready, go to the Maldives Nursing Council and collect the Registration Certificate.

• Additional Registration Certificate (copy) (only if he/she is a specialist)
• State transcript / Mark sheet (original and copy)

• Passport (original and copy)
• Stamp size photo (1).

• Rf 150/-

• Foreign Nurse must renew their Registration Certificate once expired.
• Local Nurses must submit for renewal of their Practicing License one month before the expiry date.
• Nurses working without registration the Practicing License will be penalized accordingly.
