SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Maldives Post Limited provides registered post service. Registered post also allows customers to make inquiries of posted item. The following describes the procedure.

                           Male’:            08:30am to 05:00pm, Sunday to Thursday
                                                03:00pm to 06:00pm, Friday
                                                10:00am to 04:00pm, Saturday
                           In Atolls:        08:30 to 03:30 Sunday to Thursday
Average Time for service:       3 (three) minutes
Number of visits required:       1 (one)

 

CRITERIA/PRE-REQUISITES
  • The item should be a letter, printed paper, document or merchandise.
  • The item must be correctly addressed.
  • The item must be packed according to type of the item to be posted.
PROCEDURE
  1. Approach the counter of Maldives Post Ltd or any postal outlet and hand over the item to be posted.
  2. Inform the staff at the counter that you would like to send the item by ‘Registered Post’.
  3. Articles (that are sent via both international and domestic airmail) other than documents will be checked by the security personnel.
  4. The staff will then weigh the item and quote the value of stamp(s) required for the postage along with the registration charge.
  5. Make necessary payment and obtain the stamp and fix the stamp on the item, and handover the item to the counter staff.
  6. Obtain the receipt of payment (with the tracking number) issued by the counter.
DOCUMENTS AND FORMS REQUIRED
  • For international Merchandise items: Customers should fill CN 22 form and Customs Declaration forms which will be available form the postal outlets.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • For inquiry purpose, please submit the receipt of payment (with the tracking number and receiver’s address) to Maldives Post Ltd or any postal outlet within 6 months of posting the item.
