apply to relocate kWh meter board

 

SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Service of relocating the kWh meter board from one location to other is provided by State Electric Company Limited (STELCO). Following describes the procedure.

Service available:            08:30 am to 04:00 pm, working days.
                                        10:00 am to 04:00 pm, Saturdays. (Counter Service)
Average time for service: 5 (five) days
No. of visits required:       2 (two)

 

CRITERIA/PRE-REQUISITES
  • The applicant must be the owner (or one of the owners) of house.
PROCEDURE
  1. Submit the filled application form with the necessary documents (“listed in Documents and Forms required”) to service counter of STELCO. The applicant should have no outstanding bills with STELCO.
  2. Date and time the survey team will arrive, be informed (via phone) by STELCO.
  3. Survey team will visit the location on the date and time informed. Be present on site when the surveying team arrives.
  4. Date and time to collect estimate will be informed by STELCO
  5. Go to the customer service counter on the date and time informed to collect the cost estimate.
  6. Once the payment has been made, electrician from the STELCO will go to the site and the work of relocation will be carried out.
DOCUMENTS AND FORMS REQUIRED
FEE
  • RF 150-/ for single kWh meter board relocation.
  • RF 300-/ for three phase kWh meter board relocation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • The estimate will be valid for 30 days. If the estimate is due you have to submit the estimate document to make a new estimate to the customer service counter.
  • Express service is only applicable if the application form is submitted before 11:00am of the same day.
  • Forms that are submitted for express services after 11:00am will be considered as an express service for the next working day and the 24 hour time period will start from 11:00am the next working days.
  • If the work is to be carried out on public holidays or non-working hours then additional Rf. 500/- will be charged.
  • The applicant should not have any outstanding payment to STELCO.
    If the site was locked when the STELCO team arrived, they will inform (via phone) to the applicant.
  • RF 300-/ should be paid in addition to the amount mentioned above if requesting for express service.
